Our Vysion

At Vysion Comics, we create immersive stories for those who need an escape—because sometimes the world forgets how to dream.

Origin Story

It all began with a shared love of comic books. After joking about creating our own and trading a few origin stories back and forth, we left the idea on the table — just another dream. Then Hector joined the military, and life moved on. But when he returned, the idea returned with him, and it sparked like we were 18 again. This time, we decided to take it seriously. Hector wrote GRIMM, and Alfredo wrote ANIMO!. Little did we know those two stories would ignite the vision for an entire universe.

Hector Perez

CEO/Co-Founder

A U.S. Army veteran, Hector brings a grounded perspective to every story he helps shape. His writing explores themes of loss, identity, and resilience — not always with happy endings, but always with emotional weight. He co-writes the GRIMM series, using fiction as a way to reflect the struggles and strength found in real life.

Vysion Comics was born from his love of stories growing up — shows and movies that pushed the boundaries of possibility while staying rooted in human emotion. With few role models in his life, Hector looked to characters like Superman as a moral compass, shaping how he chose to live and lead. Now, he’s building a creative space where flawed heroes, heavy choices, and honest storytelling come first.

When he’s not writing or running the studio, Hector’s usually out riding his motorcycle, enjoying the outdoors, or diving into competitive games — always chasing something that keeps him sharp.

Alfredo Mercado

CEO/Co-Founder

As a lifelong fan of comic books, Alfredo has always dreamed of creating stories of his own. Drawn to the art of storytelling, he fell in love with how panels, dialogue, and imagery come together to craft unforgettable narratives. Now, with the opportunity to tell his own stories, he carries that responsibility with pride and purpose—creating worlds that reflect both the reality we live in and the hope for what it can become. Through his work, he aims to inspire readers to see themselves in these heroes and to believe that everyone has a story worth telling.
